10 Quiet Gaming Keyboards

Posted on November 21, 2022November 25, 2022 By Harry Ligma No Comments on 10 Quiet Gaming Keyboards

For PC gamers, a good gaming keyboard is an essential item for playing their favorite games. Rapidly mashing the keys or typing can be quite loud and this tapping could disturb your teammates or viewers through your microphone. If you have roommates or family nearby, this sound can be very irritating and cause some unwanted conflict.

Many manufacturers of gaming keyboards are wise to this problem and have developed some innovative solutions to keep keypresses quiet. That being said, let’s take a look at 10 quiet gaming keyboards:

Table of Contents

    10. Razer Cynosa V2

The Razer Cynosa is a membrane keyboard which provides cushioned keys to muffle any sound. While you can hear the keypresses, they are almost silent. With individually backlit RGB keys, the Cynosa V2 offers a stunning visual effect against the membrane within the keyboard.

It has some other interesting features too such as dedicated media keys, spill resistance and cable routing grooves.  While this option is relatively simplistic, it is also very good value for money at just $59.99.

    9. HyperX Alloy Core

While HyperX are mostly known for their headsets, they have also ventured into the world of gaming keyboards. The alloy core also provides quiet keypresses through a membrane keyboard, complete with an anti-ghosting technology to register every single action.

This keyboard also has RGB lighting effects including a distinct strip across the top of the keyboard. Much like the previous entry, there are dedicated media keys and spill resistance but the HyperX Alloy Core comes in even cheaper at an unbelievable $49.99.

    8. Corsair K55 RGB

The Corsair K55 is a great, quiet gaming keyboard that again features RGB lighting. The difference here to the previous entries is that the lighting is split into 6 individual lighting zones which can be uniquely customized to make the keyboard your own.

The K55 also features a detachable palm rest, dedicated media keys and spill resistance at an affordable pricepoint of $59.99.

    7. Ducky One 3

Next up we have an intriguing entry from Ducky with the One 3 gaming keyboard which utilizes a multi-layered padding system to minimize the noise output from keypresses. With RGB lighting, a detachable USB C connection, a sleek design and multi-angle adjustable feet, the Ducky One 3 is a slightly pricier option at $119.00.

    6. Corsair Strafe RGB Mk.2

Another entry here from Corsair with the Strafe RGB Mk. 2, which is specifically designed to be a quiet gaming keyboard. It does this by making use of Corsair’s ‘Cherry MX Silent’ key switches, which can offer acoustics up to 30% quieter than other mechanical gaming keyboards.

As well as this dedicated sound reduction technology, the Strafe features customizable RGB lighting,a detachable wrist rest and easy access multimedia controls. These features combined mean that the Corsair Strafe RGB Mk. 2 is an absolute steal for $139.99.

    5. Logitech G915

The Logitech G915 is an incredibly slim gaming keyboard, with a thickness of just 22mm. It is quiet due to its implementation of low profile mechanical gaming switches for the keys.

The innovations do not stop there with the G915 since the keyboard also features strong battery life, dedicated media controls and customizable RGB lighting animations. Despite some good features, the Logitech G915 is quite expensive at $249.99.

    4. SteelSeries Apex Pro

The SteelSeries Apex Pro is a gaming keyboard with a true innovation for quiet keypresses. Each individual key sensitivity can be adjusted to provide quiet, accurate and responsive inputs. Outside of this innovative feature, there is RGB lighting and an OLED smart display which outputs information from your games and apps.

Some examples of this utility include CSGO KDA display and Discord integration. The keyboard also comes with dedicated media controls, a magnetic wrist rest and three-way cable routing. Packed with innovations and features, this quiet gaming keyboard is worth the higher price point of $171.99.

    3. Fnatic miniSTREAK Silent

For a smaller option, look no further than the Fnatic miniSTREAK. Much like the Corsair Strafe, the Fnatic MiniSTREAK features Cherry MX silent switches to offer a truly quiet gaming experience.

With a slimline 28mm design, small footprint, customizable RGB lighting and rubber footrests, the Fnatic MiniSTREAK is the perfect option for more constrained gaming desks.

    2. Corsair K70 Rapidfire

Cherry MX keyswitches have popped up a couple of times on this list already for good reason and here is another Corsair option which makes use of them. With an aviation grade aluminum frame, anti-ghosting technology, customizable RGB lighting and rapid responsiveness, the K70 is one of the finest quiet gaming keyboards you can buy.

    1. Razer BlackWidow Elite

We began this list with a Razer gaming keyboard and we are going to end with one. The BlackWidow Elite is a mechanical gaming keyboard with extremely quiet keypresses.

It is packed with features such as Razer Synapse, a system that allows you to rebind buttons and save profile configurations to the cloud. Complete with RGB lighting, a multi-functional dial and  an ergonomic wrist rest, the Razer BlackWidow is the best in class at a competitive price of $169.99.
